Honor the Architect of Black Education with the Booker T. Washington Tuskegee Institute 1881 Polo Shirt
Celebrate the extraordinary legacy of Booker T. Washington with our Booker T. Washington Polo Shirt featuring the Tuskegee Institute Design Educational Legacy 1881 Historic Tribute. This premium tribute polo shirt honors Booker Taliaferro Washington, the most influential African American leader of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, whose founding of the Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute in 1881 created one of the most important educational institutions in the history of Black America. The Tuskegee Institute Design celebrates the architectural and educational legacy of the institution that Washington built from the ground up.
Booker T. Washington was born into slavery in 1856 in Franklin County, Virginia, and rose to become the most powerful Black leader in America, advising presidents, building institutions, and shaping the debate about Black education and economic advancement for a generation. His founding of the Tuskegee Institute in 1881 with just $2,000 and a commitment to practical education created an institution that would go on to train the Tuskegee Airmen, produce Nobel Prize winners, and educate generations of Black Americans. His autobiography, Up From Slavery, published in 1901, remains one of the most widely read and celebrated memoirs in American literature. This polo shirt is a distinguished tribute to his extraordinary educational legacy.

This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to all orders placed with African Pride Shop, operated by KONICUS LLC. Please review this policy carefully before placing an order.
Total Delivery Time = Processing (Production) Time + Shipping (Transit) Time
All delivery estimates in this policy are stated in business days. Business days do not include weekends, United States federal holidays, or holidays observed by our production and shipping partners.
1. Order Cut-Off and Operating Days
Our standard operating days for order processing are Monday through Friday, excluding United States federal holidays and holidays observed by our production partners.
Our order cut-off time is 5:00 PM Mountain Time, Monday through Friday. Orders placed after the cut-off time, on weekends, or on applicable holidays will begin processing on the next business day.
2. Processing and Production Time
Many African Pride Shop products are custom-made-to-order. This means the product is printed, manufactured, or prepared after an order is placed.
Processing time includes production, printing, quality inspection, packing, and transfer to the shipping carrier. Orders are generally processed within 3–10 business days, depending on the product category and current production volume.
| Product Category | Estimated Processing Time |
|---|---|
| Apparel | 3–5 business days |
| Footwear and Home Décor | 5–10 business days |
| Accessories | 5–7 business days |
Processing time is separate from shipping transit time. You will receive a shipping confirmation email after your order has been dispatched.
3. United States Shipping
The shipping methods available for an order may depend on the destination, product type, package size, production facility, and the shipping options displayed at checkout.
| Shipping Method | Estimated Transit Time | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Economy Shipping | 15–20 business days | $3.99 USD |
| Standard Shipping + Insurance | 15–20 business days | $9.99 USD |
| Expedited Shipping | 7–15 business days | Starting at $14.99 USD |
Orders delivered to major cities and metropolitan areas may arrive near the earlier end of the estimated timeframe. Suburban, rural, remote, or restricted-service areas may require the full estimated transit time.
Deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, United States territories, APO/FPO addresses, and military addresses may require an additional 5–10 business days.
4. International Shipping
African Pride Shop offers worldwide shipping where service is available. International shipping rates and delivery estimates may depend on the destination, product type, package size, and shipping method selected at checkout.
| Shipping Method | Estimated Transit Time | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Economy Shipping | 15–25 business days | $3.99 USD |
| Standard Shipping + Insurance | 15–25 business days | $9.99 USD |
| Expedited Shipping | 7–15 business days | Starting at $14.99 USD |
International estimates do not include unexpected customs inspections, local postal delays, destination-country restrictions, or delays caused by unpaid import charges.
5. Shipping Carriers
Depending on the product, fulfillment location, and destination, we may use USPS, FedEx, DHL, 4PX, YunExpress, SF Express, local postal services, or other regional and international logistics providers.
International packages may be transferred between several carriers. The carrier that first receives the package may therefore be different from the carrier that completes final delivery.
6. Address Changes and Address Limitations
Customers are responsible for providing a complete, correct, and deliverable shipping address at checkout.
Address-change window: You may request an address correction within 48 hours of placing your order.
We will make reasonable efforts to apply a timely request, but an address change cannot be guaranteed after the order has entered fulfillment or has been transferred to a shipping carrier.
To request an address correction, contact contact@africanpride.co and include your order number and complete corrected address.
Some carriers, including FedEx, DHL, and certain international carriers, may not deliver to PO Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, military addresses, parcel lockers, or restricted delivery locations.
We recommend providing a complete physical street address whenever possible. Orders sent to PO Boxes, military addresses, or restricted locations may be limited to specific carriers and may require additional delivery time.
If an address cannot be served, we may contact the customer to request an alternative address. Failure to provide a valid address may result in delay, cancellation, return to sender, abandonment, or destruction by the carrier.
7. Order Tracking
After your order has been dispatched, we will send a shipping confirmation email containing the available tracking information.
Please allow approximately 48–72 hours for tracking information to activate or display movement in the carrier’s system.
Tracking updates may be delayed during carrier transfers, customs processing, international transportation, peak holiday periods, regional service interruptions, or final-mile delivery.
An estimated delivery date shown on a tracking page is not a guaranteed delivery commitment unless African Pride Shop has separately confirmed a guaranteed delivery date in writing.
8. Customs, Duties, and Taxes
International orders may be shipped on a Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) or similar basis unless checkout expressly states that import duties and taxes are included.
The recipient may be responsible for import duties, value-added taxes, customs clearance charges, brokerage fees, local taxes, or carrier fees imposed by the destination country.
These charges are determined by local authorities or carriers and are not controlled by African Pride Shop. They are not included in the product or shipping price unless explicitly stated at checkout.
Customers are responsible for complying with local import requirements and paying applicable charges. Customs inspections and clearance procedures may extend the delivery timeframe.
9. Shipping Delays
Delivery estimates are not guarantees. Orders may be delayed by severe weather, customs inspections, carrier congestion, holiday demand, public emergencies, security screening, labor disruptions, natural disasters, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If your order has not arrived within 30 business days from the dispatch date, contact us so we can investigate the shipment under our Return & Refund Policy.
A shipping delay does not automatically qualify an order for a refund. Eligibility for a resolution depends on the carrier investigation, tracking information, any confirmed delivery commitment, and the circumstances of the order.
10. Lost or Never-Delivered Orders
A lost or never-delivered order must be reported within 30 days after the latest estimated delivery date.
When a package appears to be lost, we may ask the customer to confirm the delivery address and provide information reasonably required for a carrier investigation.
If the carrier confirms that the package was lost before delivery, African Pride Shop will provide one primary resolution for the issue, which may be a free replacement or a full refund where eligible.
Claims submitted after the reporting window may be declined if carrier records or investigation options are no longer available.
11. Delivered but Not Received
A carrier status of “Delivered” does not automatically qualify an order for a refund or replacement.
Before contacting us, please check:
- Other members of your household;
- Neighbors or nearby delivery locations;
- Building reception, mailroom, or property management;
- Safe locations around the delivery address;
- Your local post office or final-mile carrier; and
- Any delivery photograph, note, or location information provided by the carrier.
If the package still cannot be located, contact us promptly. We will review the tracking information and may open an investigation with the carrier.
Any resolution will be based on the investigation results and will not be issued automatically solely because the customer cannot locate a package marked as delivered.
12. Failed, Refused, or Unclaimed Deliveries
A package may be delayed, returned, abandoned, or destroyed when delivery fails because of:
- An incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable address;
- An unavailable recipient;
- Restricted access to the delivery location;
- Refusal of the package;
- Unpaid customs duties or import charges;
- Failure to collect the package; or
- Failure to cooperate with carrier delivery requirements.
These circumstances do not automatically qualify the order for a full refund.
Depending on the recoverable product value, shipping charges, customs fees, carrier charges, and circumstances of the order, an available resolution may include a partial refund, store credit, discount code, or reshipment subject to additional charges.
