Their motto, "No Mail, No Morale," captured the vital importance of their work to the soldiers, sailors, and airmen fighting overseas who depended on letters from home to sustain their spirits. In 2022, Congress awarded the Six Triple Eight the Congressional Gold Medal, finally giving these pioneering women the national recognition they had long deserved.
